Animation Viper Raider chase
this is going back to the 14th colony fan film effort that vanished without a trace. Recently I found some old vids I
did for it.... when I say vids I really mean tests.
I was just getting used to Lightwave and I had just started to
model too.
I cannot remake this or edit it..
this is all that there is for good or bad.
but I thought I would share it and have a laugh. I did

Re: Animation Viper Raider chase
How long did it take to render each scene with only 1 render node? Were the energy bolts rendered, or added in by compositing?

Re: Animation Viper Raider chase
The first part .... I forget ... it took me days to get it right been a newbie to lightwave layout. ... it took awhile as my PC at the time was 700 + mbs of ram ..... think it took hours
as for the second regarding the energy bolts that was rendered .....
using particle emitters. I think
I may have the "how to" list somewhere .... if I find it I will post

Re: Animation Viper Raider chase
Me no laugh either.
Those lights (exhaust), lens effect ? Couple times i tried to duplicate as in TOS where as at certain angles you get that flare. But with C4d lens effects are constant, would have to KF parameters to try and do it.
Seemed a lil tedious for such a minor thing. Many parameters (C4d loves lights) If the lens would act as lens instead of an effect(filter) I think it would work well, so that at certain brightness you get the flare.
But at right moments it might be worth adding it. then again I am learning
and do not know it all. never will.

So much to learn , so little time, and so many ideas with so little knowledge and so much to discover with so many things to try.
