Re: Majestic Studios
Amok Time has released the Cylons. I just recieved my preorder Silver Centurian and I think the quality over the originals are there. I like the added detail of the "skirting" for the Cylon. somethign Majestic missed.
I am looking forward to getting the rest of the line now.

I thought the original majestic apollo figure pretty good, but the starbuck a poor likeness of dirk benedict. I'll be interested to see the reissue. I will defiinitely be purchasing the athena, commander cain, and boomer figures, and probably the others as well. Supposedly amok is in dealings with the estate of john colicos for a baltar figure. Now that would be totally cool.

awesome!
I'm delighted you're getting them!

Re: Majestic Studios
Okay, for anyone who has purchased and received either the new Amok Time Gold or Silver Cylon; what exactly is the difference from the original Majestic figure, and please describe the box (compared to the Majestic box). I assume that Richard Hatch is no longer on the box?
Thanks!

Re: Majestic Studios
I know the biggest difference is the Skirt being added to the new figures. But the belt now goes on backwards in my opinion. O believe the original belts were ment to have the buckle in the back.
The skirting (which is very nice) is attached to the belt and the buckle is in the front. I may try to attach something in the front to cover the buckle.
Another thing is the sword/dagger is ono the right side, instead of the left.
As for the box, I never got the original, but yes, Richard Hatch is no longer on the box and the back features screen grab shots of all the coming figures.

Re: Majestic Studios
So, does this mean that Amok Time is going to resculpts of Apollo and Starbuck?

Re: Majestic Studios
I just ordered the Adama figure since it is on sale. That sculpt looks pretty darn close!

Re: Majestic Studios
I'd love to have Adama as well, but Starbuck and Apollo would be my first priorities. A Boomer would be awesome, but he's new so not on sale.

Re: Majestic Studios
right now the only figure I'm missing int he collection is the Gold Cylon (I don't have the older Cylons, just the newer silver one) I'm looking to spend a little birthday money on the Gold Cuylon and then I'll be complete.
