Question First Baby Steps an FAQ?

I got to thinking while reflecting on Fleets return to something like its 3D Gladiator days. How does one do CGI? Really, what are the first steps? Where does one learn? I know there are expensive schools I went to a graduation in San Francisco. I will do a Google search.

How about a FAQ?

Good questions. Some of which I would like answered myself.
Recently I was able to buy Lightwave cgi program and there are a number of Forums that help in this area. I have been able to download some Lession from the net that are free.

Going back to when I first got intrested in trying a CGI program I found That Truespace have a Free Fully working program
for use and while you have to register to use it I think it a good starter package for a newbee to cgi to get the idea of how they work.

Visit 3DG and ask

Breea has done so, and started this thread. Jump right in... be a good starting point to do a F.A.Q. (which is a good idea)

As Darrell said it's a great place to start. Nice people and some of the best advice a guy can get.
