Wink BSG - Rendezvous

Everyone's in bed; my baby boy is fed/sleeping; I just started the "Space Cruiser Yamato, Series II" soundtrack on my CD player; and the after-hours rendering projects continue...

I still have some work to do on this picture (text, frame modifications, additional 2D/3D painting, some Viper additions). I'm mixed about the background nebulas, though. (Does it override the foreground images, or add to the imagery?)

1152x864 version here .

Kudos to Warrior and Fabio for the asteroid construction tutorials. It was a good starting point for me -- and highly recommended to all. My next image will utilize more asteroids (and a red supergiant) if all goes according to plan -- and free time.

Stargate

General Phoenix: Thanks!

Braxton: I don't use ICQ. Feel free to e-mail me directly, though: webmaster@battlestargalactica.com

Titon: One youngin', yes. I also have two step-children, too, although only one lives with us on a regular basis. You have me beat, though: Two very young children take a lot more time, effort and energy -- and in your case, you're definitely Super Dad.

Thumbs up Final version of "Rendezvous."

Here's the final version with the proper text in place, plus some minor tweaks with Photoshop and Painter.

1152x864 version here .

With the (basic) redesign of BattlestarGalactica.com in the works, I won't be posting much artwork in the next month. The revamp ought to go live in late March. Right now, it's tough enough to get any free time between work, family and my baby boy.

In April, I think I can finally work on a red supergiant/asteroid/planet concept that's been haunting my dreams on occasion for a while now, along with more embedded techno designs in my future images.
