Default Terra question?

Why are the colonial fleet so obessed with finding earth? For all they know, earth can be even more weaker in technology, assuming it is modern day earth.

For smaller human colony, I can understand, but Terra with a high population? Why would the galactica move on without them? They are pretty advanced, and well developed, at least enough to help the Colonial rebuilt.

Furthermore, if there are more human colony still intact, the colonials need not afraid that their race can be extinct and hope to find earth.

Can anyone answer this question?

We don't know what time they will find the 13th Tribe. That Apollo moonlanding video that Apollo picked up, could ber centuries in the transmission across space.

Terra was not them home of the 13th Tribe. The Colonials hunt for their own people. Though I can't be certain of this, it may be that the "humans" of "Terra" were not "Human".

See above about "humans" versus Humans.

See above.
