Hey Chocolate Lovers! New Invention!
Hey all you chocolate lovers out there - you know who you are! Hiding a Hershey bar inside your alfalfa sprout sandwich - snorting lines of Nestle's Quik - squirting chocolate syrup on your Caesar salad when no one is looking - yeah you!!! Introducing the newest thing:
Chocolate Potato Chips!!! And just when you thought only tofu potato chips were on the horizon! They're new from Hersheys, and they're called Swoops. Rich chocolate taste in a shape that lets you think just one more chip won't go to your waist .
One word of warning - the packaging! It comes packaged in 3 Pringles-like subpackets with 6 chips to each pack: 6-6-6!!! Aha! So if /that's/ the devil's ploy to get us all to accept the mark of the Beast...Heaven's gonna be emptier than expected!!!
Silly me,

I didn't think anyone else snorted chocolate power.
Choclate affects a chemical in the body call anandamides, the same chemical that THC mimics. In other words, chocolate,in proper dosage levels, has similar effects of low grade cannabis.

It also contains seratonin, so a high-cocoa chocolate has the same effect as about 8 hours sleep or a good bout of sex.

Seratonin is also the culprit in the action of LSD on the brain.

I knew I loved chocolate for a reason.... I keep a big basket of assorted Hersheys in my department, so when the other nurses come in to help me they are rewarded Of course there are those that sneak in a grab and run once in awhile...lol

Plus it's healthy!
It's made from beans, and beans are vegetables.
And it contains milk, which provide calcium.
Seriously, tho, it does have some dietary benifits, it is an anti-oxident, and contains magnesuim (a mineral lost during menstruation, whis is why it is often craved at that time).

Swoops
Tried the "Swoops".... no potato though. Just shaped like "Pringles". Tasty. *G* They come in various flavors - plain chocolate and mint were the ones we had.
I have HAD chocolate covered potato chips though. And they are definately yummy. The salt and chocolate combo just do it for me. *L*

Well, then the next time you make Smores, make them with Captains wafers instead of Graham crackers. That salty sweet combo is great also.....

My favorite chocolate is actually Ghirardelli mint chocolate - but good luck finding it! I kinda wonder how they could be successful if it's so hard to find. Only place I saw it was like $25 for a gift basket that happened to have a couple pieces of the mint. *sigh*

They sell that at the Mall in my town at a speciality shop. It is very expensive (a box of 6 pieces is $15.00) and I have never had the pleasure of tasting it.........yet.

That's neat Em . I wish we had it nearby. The reason I love it so much is, it's so hard to get just the right balance of mint and choclate from most brands. Most of the time there's too much mint flavoring and it drowns out the chocolate. The folks at Ghirardelli know how to get it just right.
I also love Hershey semi-sweet chocolate. Luckily that's pretty easy to find.

Muffit Ghirardelli is my favorite chocolate too! The first time I tried it was a few years ago in Las Vegas! It has to be the best in the world!
It is hard to find and ordering from their web site is expensive. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it at the local Super Walmart in the candy isle!

You too Amberstar? Cool!!! Walmart huh? I'll have to check ours more carefully! Yeah, buying it on the web is /way/ too expensive. I used to live near (well, not too far away from) San Francisco where they make it. Went there many times, and wouldn't ya know it, we never actually visited the plant? I hear that's the best (and cheapest) way to buy it.
Another Ghirardelli lover - how neat! It really is a small world after all...

Muffit,
It doesn't work. LMAO! My brother had some chocolate and it was one of those "HAVE to have chocolate" days and I was wearing that shirt. Did he share? Nope! So I tackled him and stole it from him. He learned his lesson that when the shirt is on, hand over the chocolate.

Mint filled Ghirardelli chocolate squares, in bags, are sold at my friendly neighborhood Rite Aid drug store. As are their caramel counterparts.

I'm no expert, but in my opinion they have some very good chocolate over here in Korea. I can't eat a Nestle crunch bar or most Hershey's products any more, they're too sweet for me now and they just taste bad... Give me a Korean Crunky or a Ghana bar though, mmmmmMMM!
I've heard that many connoisseurs consider most American chocolate to be very low quality...

We have a Ghirardelli malt shop downtown. I don't go there often since I am rarely downtown and it is pretty expensive but they make great sundaes.

DarkJedi - !!!
Thanks FG! We have a new RiteAid (opened recently), I never thought to look there, but will now!
Hi SeoulWind! I've heard that too! Many things here are really watered down (like soda) and I guess we just all get used to it. Many of my relatives are from Central America and they were /really/ disappointed when they came here food-wise. Lobster there is dirt cheap and ten times more tasty, as is all their sea food. Funny thing, they have lobster there as often as we have chicken - but then chicken is a delicacy there and tres expensive! Go figure!
Hi Artemis! Lucky you! I /love/ malts! Haven't had one in ages. With Ghirardelli, that's gotta be the best! Maybe someday they'll open something like that here...
Thanks all!!!!
