Martok jumps for more joy!!!
Well folks, I've another reason to jump for joy.
My Galactica, Pegasus, and Basestar arrived just in time at the hotel I in which I am staying, and I will be departing for New Orleans tomorrow.
The ships are beautiful!!! The detailing is very accurate for so small a model. Right down to the Viper launch tubes in the battlestars' landing pontoons. I think these ships will do just fine in my photography when I do miniature FX work for Galactica fanfilm.
My only gripe is that the Galactica's portside landing pontoon is somewhat bent, and the Galactica herself is a little bent...but not overly so that I cannot enjoy it.
Martok is once again a happy camper!!!
Here are some pics I took:
Check out the name plating and the Viper launch tubes. SWEET!!
Hell YEAH!!!!!! Long Live TOS!!!
Jumping for more joy,
Martok2112

Everyone deserves to be happy, else what is the reason for living.
I have noticed no discernable differences between the Big G and the Peggy.
But they are simply SHAWEET!!!

Here's something for you to remember, when they built the original Galactica the right side landing bay also was bent!

OMG...then maybe they were hyper accurate with this model except that the portside landing bay is the one that is bent here.
What we learn everyday.

Here's a composite shot, inspired straight from the original show.
Hard to believe this is a 4 inch miniature

Thanks guys.
Yeah, Zan, I am still trying to get Reciprocity up to speed...and I will try to drop in more often too...but I do imagine I will be pretty busy down there since they have a shortage of male singers.

Wow! Those are awesome! To me, the ships on TOS looked like they really could exist. The modern day "sleeker" designs just don't do it for me. The original Vipers are like 60's muscle cars. YUM! I get warm chills just thinking about the roar of the engines.
Fanfilm, huh? Well, if you ever need an actress, have 2 Galactica suits, will try to travel.
Long live NOLA!

For sure on the GINO version Galactica, it looks like the sorority did when they were taking down the leaky wall, all struts and nothing else. It looks like they forgot to put on the insulation and dry wall before launch.
Your stuff looks awesome, and its impossible for me to understand how those itty bitty little things can look so darn awesome like that. Im stunned.
