That reminds me of an e-mail that went around a while ago comparing what Michael Jordan made to what Bill Gates made. There were almost two pages of comparisons of what Jordan made, like, "He makes so much money it wouldn't be worth his while to stop and pick up a $100 bill he saw on the sidewalk" and other such sickening things. Then it said at the end that if Michael Jordan lived for a LOT longer than is humanly possible (I can't remember how many hundreds or thousands of years, it was a while ago and I am a blonde! ) that he would still never make as much in his lifetime as Bill Gates did in one year (or day or whatever). Then it said, "Game over, NERD wins."
I wish I could remember the wording, because I LOVED that e-mail and sent it to everyone I knew! Of course, I always get upset when a person who doesn't teach or save or heal earns so much money and people who truly deserve it struggle to make ends meet. What about the :cop: :cop: :cop: :cop: and nurses and teachers who have to work two or even three jobs just to pay the bills?

Oops, sorry, rant over, I'll put my soapbox away now.

Here's one from a favorite movie of mine.

Lunatic in dungeon on "LadyHawke":

"The mouse, he left our house. No mouse today, he ran away"

While all that is completely true, please don't forget that there are also a large number of men out their who are abused by their partners and don't report it at all (either because of that male ego thing or because they are afraid that no one will believe them).

We have actually arrested almost as many women as men for domestic violence in the last few years, but there are no services available for the men in need because the programs are so geared towards the women in need. The domestic violence assistance program around here is called "Women's Crisis Services" and they have actually refused to help men who are in need.

Oh jeeze, I've jumped up on my soapbox again. I'll get back off of it and store it away again.

And, just to get back on topic, "Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of... elderberry!"
