Re: More Blasters...
I do love how you get the effect of the working lasers in your static props. Very nice.
I haven't seen anyone put a laser into a pistol. Blackstar is working on a lighting kit to insert into lasers that includes a sound module as well. but no working lasers.

Once the satin acrylic coat is on, the effect will be a lot more subtle.

Spectre is con mucho talento. When he works it all out, I'll be in line.

Thanks Reaper.
You know, as I've gotten older, and I've seen the dismal Lost in Space movie, the good Trek movies, and the questionable new Galactica series, I just feel like the original artists that created the ships & props are dissed to no end. It's all about making it 'grittier' & more 'realistic', as if there's a 'realistic' in this realm.
TOS Galactica was the pinnacle of pure Sci-Fi hardware creativity IMO.
Even more than Star Wars.

Re: More Blasters...
I have to admit, I liked the LIS movie. I did not expect to, yet I did. The rest...
Spotty, at best. So little creativity in Hollyweird, any more.

I own it, I call it dismal from a design standpoint. They threw out classic stuff for what? A better J2? A better Robot?

Re: More Blasters...
My last off topic post here lol but I honestly liked the new Jupitar 2. Seeing the Jupitar 1 "booster" was a good nod to the original, but I couldn't imagine seeing that thing the entire movie. The inside of the new J2 leases alot wanting but I liked the exterior.
The robot, both versions and the advanced models, sucked. Could have been much better and a better nod to the original.

Meh, I'm a rabid fan of classic stuff- that Movie J2 was junk IMO. The new Galactica looked like a complicated radiator... only the Refit Enterprise from the movies was an acceptable upgrade from the TV series IMO because they respected the original design.
Blasters done painting, semi-gloss coat of acrylic tomorrow & they're finished.

Agreed. Never screw with perfection. When it comes to classics, like BSG or the J2, it's like deciding to redisign Noah's Ark in the middle of the Flood.

very nice pistols, and thanks for the images too. I'll add those to my folder of source images for the laser pistol.
