Star Trek Startrek Drydock

I had to start a new thread because I like this picture myself ..So much !!

I Took me 4 hours 19 minutes and 19 seconds to render. which can serious damage
to one's health .. I love this picture and think its the best one I have attemped so far
with a lot of help and advice from many people..

please comment if you have any ideas, I got this Idea from another website and it grew on me.

Taranis -

I really, REALLY love this picture....!

One thing, I don't remember 23rd Century Starfleet enviroment suits looking like 20th Century versions....

Excellent work, though!

Cheers,
Bryan

I know but I don't have a Starfleet enviroment suit only the NASA one,, but I changed the patchs one the arm and backpack for good measure .. The effect I like the most is the reflection in the astronauts faceplate....

Looks very good. The reflections are a very nice touch.

I would suggest enhancing the glows on the blue panels in the back, and on the hexagonal light rack as well. You may also want to play around with posing the astronaut on the far right of the image--his jump above the saucer, as shown in the shadows, does not seem to be reflected in his pose.

I love the inclusion of people in the viewports.

Why 4 hours to render?

Hey, nice one Taranis!
I really like this one. It's really well made, but best of all its a great concept for picture. There's so much going on it. The reflection, the interior thru the window, the background- great work.

Another cool pic!
I really like these, they sort of show a new perspective on the ships. Usually we just see them flying through space or whatever, and lose that tangible human element. Here we get to see people interacting with this massive vessel and it lends a feeling of reality to it.

I think these are nice compositions and either would make an "Ooooh-Ahhhhh" moment in a movie.

Both of thoe images are really great, the second one is heading towards and very close to the sort of quality you'd seen in actually sci-fi shows. The first one's really good to, the only thing that I think's a little bit of is the person in the EVA suit he looks a bit big but apart from that it looks really cool.

Dear Taranis,

Its a great picture but I would recommend some AA. Al3d's models are one of the bests, the measurements are good, picture is in great balance. But I would recommand Antialliasing at a minimum of 17 passes (Lightwave use : High or PLD 17-pass).

I would love to see the result.

Very cool pics, keep 'em coming!

@ Gemini1999,
Those are the three NASA astronauts that mysteriously disappeared on the second secret lunar base arming mission of 2009 ordered by George Bush Jr. in his 3rd admin. after suspending the U.S. constitution.
